I’m sitting in a popular church coffee shop in Panama City FL. I just completed an application for a missionary organization called International Gospel Outreach. Several of my missionary friends operate through that agency and recommended it to me. Earlier in the Week i met the director of the organization, Brian Scott. Nice fellow, like myself, with a heart for the world’s lost.
The application is what you would think. Reasonable questions about my life, Christian life and past missions work. It was quite a remarkable journey down memory lane as flashbacks of faces and places past through the slideshow of my mind. I have met the greatest people, the greatest saints in the world. In the places they call home I have breathed the air of the north sea and the tasted the waters of Lake Baykal in Siberia. I have swam in the Volga, I have swam in the Nile and can honestly say I have Lake Victoria in me, lol. I have swam in the Galilee and swung from a rope swing and baptized myself into the Jordan River. Great times. Too many to mention here but wow what an exciting journey Iv’e been on since my encounter with Jesus some Forty years ago. Yeah its been about that long. There I go again, aging myself.
Yes, most of these journeys have been with the regular company of my potters wheel. This special assignment i have been on has been especially “special”. I tell the saints i minister to, you will likely forget my name one day but you will never forget what you saw. And what you saw, married to your faith in God and His word, will see you through the greatest of tribulations and difficulties. Times beyond your imagination to endure. You will get through, as His promise and purpose is worked out, in and through you. I, speaking by Holy Spirit can promise you that.
I will be back blogging regularly now. This summer will see me returning to Uganda and Ukraine. I will keep you posted as the Wind Blows and inspires me. In May I will be featuring at Bay Arts in downtown Panama City. I will have many new works from my clay studio to show off and maybe sell. Stay tuned. Love you all. Nolan
